Mexican Fiesta

Welcome to my Mexican Fiesta! Sometime last week I held a party that was mexican themed at my house. Not really. The only thing mexican was the tacos and they didn't really turn out the way I wanted too, maybe because I didn't oven toast the taco shell so they tasted like they were stale. The day and night was packed full of  mental and physical games to stimulate the minds. So the day consisted a range of tasty food, unlimited karaoke, board games, trivia's, competitive games between two teams (known as Pink Shits and Cold Spaghetti.) Random team names, I know.

I don't even know how but we managed to spend $200 on food and it wasn't enough. In the morning Bowen, Jenny, Thy and I went to go shopping at Coles beforehand. Soon later others joined us so before the party even started I had half the party already over. Some of the foods were the baked pesto chicken pasta, tacos, nachos, greek salad, tortilla and dip , cake and snow cones.

Probably my favourite photo from the bunch: Jenny gets kicked in the head by Tuyen while we played duck duck goose. After feasting on the "mexican" food we all moved down to the oval to play some games. This involved:
- Water Bomb Fight
- Capture the Egg: a spin off of Capture the flag
- Kick Ball : a game that follows the format of baseball but instead of batting you kick instead
- Red Rover
- Volleyball
- Obstacle Relay Races

Obstacle Relay Race
1. three leg race

2.wheel barrow race

3. Piggy Back Race

4. Build a Pyramid with the whole team

5. Lastly sprint to the finish line , afterwards we went back home to finish off the games that involved less physical activities  Such as charades, board games ( connect 4 , ring toss, scrabble) , bingo and Trivia night. I also planned out a few traditional games with a twist to them; for example, Pictionary - A team forms a line of people. The first person is given a word to draw and they receive 20 seconds, they pass it down the line to the second person. The second person is allocated 5 seconds to look at it and 10 seconds to redraw what they saw. This pattern continuous until it reaches the last person where they must guess what it is. It's much funner when you actually play it then read about it. Also with Chinese whispers, instead of a sentence we were humming out tunes of mainstream songs. Unfortunately one team had a korean that "couldn't speak english" so they were heavily disadvantaged.

Can you guys guess what the images are? From left to right :  Stewie Griffen - somehow he got turned into a girl, Pegasus- some idiot forgot the wings , Voldemort- the initial image was Harry and Voldemort circled, however the second person interpreted it as a reflection of evil or the devil in a mirror so eventually horns got drawn on ....which ended up looking like bunny ears...so the last person was Hayden and he was so confident he was right he screamed out " EASTER BUNNY" to his disappointment it was Voldermort. The last image was also Voldemort but the last person guessed someone smoking weed.

At the end of the night we all got hungry again so we all pitched in a few dollars to buy some Pizza. We bought four pizza's for $24. THANK GOD CHEAP TUESDAY PIZZA! Hayden rode his bike to my house so we all thought it was a genius idea to make him bike to eagle boys and pick up the pizza. He shoved the pizza boxes into his bag so when we opened it all the pizza slices slided to one side of the box and destroyed everyones' hopes and dreams to instagram it's beauty. Thank you everyone for attending and lastly to Tiffany that thought it was my 16th birthday, sorry it wasn't. Adios Chikitas!
